Popnuvo - Original Music

Popnuvo is an independent label that promised to overhaul the music industry with a model of free music in exchange for a shared revenue model between artist and label.  Today it's called a 360-deal.  In 2001, we were just called lunatics.  Here's some of our favourite tracks: 

Lotus: Into The Dream
The merging of house music and pop has been a natural progression.  Music once found only in rave parties is being tweaked and toned to find itself on radio, where it appeals not only to old ravers but an entirely new audience altogether.  Dream house has found its ambassador in :Lotus.   Full, textured vocals layer her atmospheric Popnuvo singles, a mesh of pop and electronic beat.  

Dr Dammitman
Born and raised in South Africa, Dr Dammitman hopes to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman, Dave Matthews.   His music is a brand of pop/funk, with quirky lyrics and a definite tongue in cheek.   “I try not to take my music too seriously.  It’s better if people can laugh and groove than build up the anger found in alternative rock these days,” he says.  “Less damage to the bus-stop!”
