In 2018, I wrote an inspiring book about a personal journey to tick off the most unique and inspiring experiences in Australia. 
It was called The Great Australian Bucket List. 
Actually, I wrote two books, the other was called 75 Places To Take the Kids (before they don't want to go). 

Published by Melbourne's Affirm Press, both became national Australian bestsellers.  As my daughter, who was 4-years-old at time would say:  how cool is that? 

In the years since, the books sold out their print runs, indie Affirm Press was sold to publishing megalith Simon & Schuster, and while both books were a success, I know of no plans to reprint them, update them, or extend their lifespan.  Which is a pity, because they are beautiful, inspiring books, full of stories and photos and funny text boxes and trivia and history and other great stuff for active or armchair travellers.  They sold out!   
They also represented A LOT of sweat, tears, dollars and wild adventure. 

There was a full companion website, but moving onto other projects, I haven't updated it in ages, and while the site didn't ask anyone to sign up to anything,  I keep getting warnings that it's under attack and vulnerable to hacks.  In short, maintaining the site for a former project should be painless, but it's become a royal a pain in the ass.   
So that's why you're here, instead of there.  Sorry about that.  

My books are always supposed to be the WHY as opposed to the HOW, the inspiration, not the information.    If you're reading one and visiting one of the URLs at the bottom of each chapter, I advise you to simply search online for the experience, and you'll find it.   So much has changed, you're better off visiting the Official Site of the tour operator or destination or activity directly.  They have the HOW.  I'm just thrilled to inspire the WHY. 

So RIP aussiebucketlist.com.  I de-activated the Facebook page for 75 Places years ago because...Facebook.
